Washing and Cleaning Instructions:
Water resisting
Your Ugg Boots are not waterproof so you will need to waterproof them by UGG™ Water & Oil Repellent spray. Just spray your boots, allow 10 min to dry and wear them away! Waterproofing your sheepskin boots will protect your boots from cooking oil, dirt or water and increase their life. Be aware though, that once your footwear get wet, you need to apply another coat after they have dried. The first time this coating is applied should ideally be when the footwear is new.
Washing the uggs
Wet entire boot or shoe with cold water. UGG™ Shampoo & Conditioner to a clean sponge or soft brush.
Clean entire area thoroughly and evenly. You might use an old toothbrush to help in the washing process. Once you have washed and rinsed the footwear in cold water, place them in your washing machine and put it on a spin cycle for a few minutes just to get rid of the excess water.
Reshape by stuffing with paper towel.
Allow to dry naturally and slowly - DO NOT dry in direct heat or sunlight.
You will notice once the footwear have dried that they have shrunk slightly but this is normal. After wearing them for an hour or so, they will go back to the normal, warm and comfortable state you are used to and at the same time, be clean.
Please remember:
DO NOT SOAK if possible
DO NOT USE FABRIC CONDITIONER
DO NOT USE ANY ARTIFICIAL HEAT TO DRY
DO NOT DRY IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT
DO NOT DRY CLEAN
Removing the stains
If you have a grease stain on your footwear, use a razor or sharp knife to scrub some powder from a white chalk over the stain, leave it for a few minutes. Then blow away the access chalk and with your hand, gently rub the stain. Repeat this a few times until the stain has almost disappeared. For extremely tough stains you can gently rub the stain with sandpaper but beware that this may take the colour away.
Removing Rain Spots
Sometimes you can get what we call "spotting" where the footwear have come into contact with a few drops of water. You can usually eliminate this by folding the footwear onto itself, that is skin against skin, and gently rub it together.
